Beware! Elephant insurance does not honor their claims. Their customer admitted fault and Elephant wanted more information that their customer failed to provided so the denied the claim based on no coverage. Horrible customer service.

Up until the time of my accident, I was satisfied with Elephant Insurance and their service. However, my accident on Sept.18, 2013, I was assigned to three different claim agents who all ignored me for two weeks of waiting and calling to find out about my vechile's progress. After two weeks I called the Shop the vechile was taken to for repairs, and to my dismay, it was their staff who informed that my car was totalled! I immediately contacted one of the three agents assigned and she confirmed the resolution. When I asked, why I had not been informed previously by any one from Elephant, her response was casual and unconcerned, that she was about to contact me just before I called. It had been two weeks with no word from Elephant! Disgraceful! After this I was contacted three days later by an agent by the name of Darryl Hines. This is one of rudest, self-righteous, aggressive, and condenscenting individuals I have ever encountered in a customer service arena. He denied an extension of vechile rental benefit and limited it to just six days! I have a full benefit according to the Elephant policy of up to $900 per incident, per year. Mr. Hines decided to shout and talk over me for endless periods of time instructing me on the protocol of Elephant's rental benefit. I explained to him that I needed two more days to accomplish my shopping for a new vechile on the car rental with Enterprise. He shouted and screamed at me repeating over and over again that my rental privileges were exhausted with Elephant because they had settled the claim six day prior. I indicated to him that I had not received any settlement refund, as agreed six days ago with him, and could not purchase a vechile till I received the amount of settlement. He had the audacity and disrespect to inform me that I did not need money to shop for a vechile till I was ready to purchase one. How stupid is that?
He continued to deny me the rental benefit.
Elephant took over two weeks to resolve the claim and I still have not received the agreed amount of settlement. I has been over three weeks since the day of the accident. This is atrocious service, with lack of concsience, and equity to customers who pay their premiums on time and who are frauded by cheating them of benefits they are paying for monthly, i.e., rental fees.
Your agent is destructive to the pursuit of satisfaction and repeat business. I will insure to share this terrible, devastating customer service with friends and associates so as to warn them of the poor, degrading service the company provides.

My name is Rhonda Washington and I'm a new customer to Elephant insurance. I am truly displeased with the level of service that I received on Saturday, April 6, 2013. The tire on my car came off due to the studs breaking on the wheels. I placed a call to Elephant Insurance for tow service and I was sent a little rude man in a small tiny car. He was very rude and crude. He made me and my husband feel like we did something wrong even though we could control what happened to the car.

This person did not speak to us. He took the jack out of the car and proceeded to look at the tire and I asked him why Elephant Insurance did not send us a tow truck instead. He did not answer us at all. Oce he found out he could not help us he packed up his equipment jumped in his car and left. He did not say good bye or anything. If this is the level of service that you are sending to your customers shame on you. I could not believe that when I called back t request a tow truck I was told that I would have to pay of pocket. I was absolutely stunned by this. I can't believe that you would try to charge me for a service that I did not even ask for.

I will definitely be looking for another insurance company. Shame on you Elephant Insurance.

Elephant Insurance approved our 2 cars to be insured after an ONLINE Application. I verified 2 days after, they said they cannot insure my NM-Registered car, only VA. Then upon their suggestion, I cancelled the first account and insure only the VA-Registered car. The cancellation was done at least 2 weeks before the insurance policy could start. But they shortchanged me of $52.18 when they refunded my first payment, claiming that it started few days already. What in the world are they claiming that started when in the first place they cannot insure my NM-Registered Car? And the cancellation was way ahead before the policy starts which is stated in their welcome letter? DON'T DEAL WITH THEM, THEY ARE CROOKED! I DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM!

they make you cover all household vehicles under them. I recently bought a third vehicle and called to get a quote to add car to my policy they were twice as high as competers and they are making me use them I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN

I'm a body shop owner and refuse to do business with them now. They are new to texas and I had 3 claims in 2 weeks with elephant insurance. The only person suffering is the customer who will end up paying for repairs out of their own pocket. Buyer beware. There are several cut rate insurance companies but they are by far the worst.

ELEPHANT is one of the WORST company to rely for your insurance. IT doesn't deserve even a single star. I recently switched to Elephant and after two months, these crap company's underwriting department sent me a letter asking me to give proof of my prior insurance as their system is not modern and they can not pull information using VIN of my car. I called for four continuous days waiting on phone for more than 45 minutes to get to someone to talk. Finally One day some one came on phone and told me that I need to provide proof that my car was covered for last three years before I switched and I need to do it for them as they are bunch of LAZY IRRESPONSIBLE working who doesn't want to take bother digging records of my car and their Underwriting department is not available normally even on WEEKDAYS. (SHOCK !) What a crap company whose customer service is totally irrelevant and admits honestly (as this is true) their department is irresponsible. I am seriously thinking of switching back to GEICO as this SCUM BUG company is not worth considering even if they give insurance free. DON'T EVER TRUST THESE IRRESPONSIBLE CHEATERS. STAY AWAY !
